Hi everyone,

I’m excited to announce my latest edition to this website…the Magical Mandalas Colouring Book!

If you’d like to take it for a test drive, I am offering the first 10 pages FREE in my Free Downloads section.  Click here to access your free sample!

If you would like to purchase the full version of the book (100 pages!!), click here.  It is on sale for a reduced price until Sunday, January 23 at midnight PST!

After I did the Sacred Geometry Colouring Book (also available on my Free Downloads page) and saw the positive response to that, I decided to do an even bigger and better book for you guys.  The 100 mandalas in this book have been carefully chosen and designed to give a wide variety of shapes and styles.  The lines are nice and bold, making these patterns suitable for all ages.  Why not print a few pages and share them around the family?

This document is a PDF and is available for instant download, both when you download the free sample and when you purchase the full version.

I hope you enjoy my latest project!  If you download the sample or purchase the full version, I’d love it if you would let me know your thoughts in the comments!

A Recipe for a Little January Pick-Me-Up!

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

We all know that sometimes January can get a little dreary in some parts of the world, and that’s definitely the case here right now!  It’s cold, it’s wet, it’s snowy and slushy, and just not very nice overall!  The weather forecast for the next week is rain.  The previous week’s forecast?  Snow and ice.

In order to brighten things up a little, I’ve been playing with my essential oils lately, and the end result of that is this post!  This oil blend smells fantastic and is very uplifting – perfect for this time of year.  I have been putting it in my diffuser and I’ve also got it mixed with a carrier oil that I’ve been rubbing onto my skin, and I feel 100% better than I did a few days ago!

For this blend, you should use equal parts of:

  • Lemongrass essential oil
  • Sweet orange essential oil
  • Grapefruit essential oil

In my diffuser, I am using two drops of each in about 3/4 a cup of water.  In the carrier oil, I mixed 10 drops of each in about 1/2 a cup of jojoba oil.  I’m also contemplating making a balm with this oil combination, which would combine the oils, a bit of jojoba oil, beeswax and solid coconut oil.

Let me know if you try this blend, and how it works for you!

Welcome to the New Witchy Business!

Happy New Year!  I hope 2017 is off to a great start for everyone.

I am pleased to make this the first post on the newly-revamped Witchy Business site!  I’ve made some changes to site’s identity and structure after much thought and deliberation over the holidays, and I’m quite pleased with the results.  I hope you are too!

I’ve completely redone the shop, making it easier than ever to book your readings and Reiki healings!  Click here to check it out.

I have a lot of exciting things planned for the website in 2017, and I hope you’ll join me on the ride!  I spent a large chunk of time planning for 2017 at the end of December, and I can’t wait to implement everything I have in mind!

In the meantime, I’d love your feedback on the new website, as well as any suggestions for things you’d like to see in this space this year.

Witchy Business News Update – December 3, 2016

Hi everyone!

I know it’s been a while, and I apologize.  Sometimes life just gets busy, and there’s not a whole lot we can do about it…I’m sure everyone can relate!

Some of the plans I’ve had for things to add to the site have been a bit delayed, but I am pleased to announce a couple of things.

First of all, I’ve added a couple of new free downloads!  I’ve attached them to the bottom of this post for your convenience, but they can also be found on the Downloads page.  I’m working on something else for you guys as far as downloadable things go, and I plan to have more information about that soon.

PrintAlso, just in time for the holidays, I’ve added the option to purchase gift certificates to my shop!  This is a feature that a number of people have requested, and I’m happy to be able to offer them now.

You may have noticed that I’ve also updated the look of the site just in time for the holidays…I figured it was about time!  I LOVE this time of year, and always love to share that with you guys as well.

I promise not to leave it so long before my next update, but for now I’ve got to go take care of some readings that people have booked.

I’d love to hear from you in the comments, as usual!

Your Favourite Tarot & Oracle Decks!

We’ve done herbs, and we’ve done crystals…it was only a matter of time until tarot and oracle cards came into the mix!  There are so many great decks out there…a lot of the mainstream ones are fantastic, but there are also tons of great indie decks out there.  All types are welcome in these polls…variety is the spice of life, of course!  Please take a moment to submit your favourite decks below.

I’d also love it if you leave a comment highlighting WHY you love the decks that you do.

The results of these two polls will be tallied up, and I’ll do posts about the top decks for both tarot and oracle cards.  Make sure you get those submissions in!

I’ve provided separate forms for tarot and oracle decks…feel free to fill out only one, or both!  It’s completely up to you.

Please list your top 5 favourite oracle decks, in order from 1-5.

Your Favourite Crystals!

As promised, here’s the follow up to the post about your favourite herbs from a couple of weeks ago.  Now, tell me about your favourite crystals!

Please take two seconds to submit your top 5 favourite crystals in the form below, so that I’ve got some guidance!  Don’t have 5?  No problem….submit how ever many you’d like.

As you can see from the form, this is completely anonymous…I will not know who submits what, so you’re free to submit anything you’d like.  As you know, I’m always looking to post the things that my readers are looking for.

Whether your favourites are the run-of-the-mill, every day ones (amethyst, quartz, etc.) or more obscure things, I would love some ideas for crystals to feature on my blog.  I’d also love it if you leave a comment highlighting WHY you love the crystals that you do, and what you use them for.  Let’s have some fun with this one too!

Please list your top 5 favourite crystals, in order from 1-5.

Book Review: Llewellyn’s Complete Book of Tarot

tarotI love a good tarot book, and, as such, you can imagine my excitement when I saw that Llewellyn’s Complete Book of Tarot, by Anthony Louis, was up for pre-order on Amazon!

Needless to say, this book was in my cart and my order submitted before I even gave it a second thought.  Now that it’s arrived and I’ve had some time to look it over, I have to say…it definitely was worth the hype!

This book is a great resource for both beginners and seasoned tarot readers.  The thing I like most about it is the fact that, for each card, a variety of interpretations from different tarot “authorities” are listed.  It’s really interesting to see how some aspects of a card’s interpretation are the same across the board, and some are radically different.  The book also gives various correspondences for each card, all organized by card, so it’s easy to find whatever you’re looking for.

If you’re just starting out with the tarot, I would recommend this book as a good starting point.  It’s a fairly large book, and may seem a bit overwhelming, but if you are able to process information and love a good resource that you’ll use long after you pass the beginner stage, this is the one for you.

If you’re a seasoned reader, I would also recommend this book.  It’s a well-written, interesting read, and I’ve found information in it that I didn’t know and that I’ve found very useful.  Having the correspondences there is also nice.

I see this book becoming my go-to tarot reference for most things, unless I’m looking for something related to a specific deck.  Even then, depending on the deck, this book might be able to provide me with what I’m looking for.

You can grab this book directly from Llewellyn by clicking here, or from by clicking here.

Deck Recommendation: Living Reiki Healing Cards

IMG_0452A little something different on this deck recommendation.  These cards aren’t oracle or tarot cards per se.  Rather, they are cards that can be used for inspiration, and are definitely not limited to those who practice Reiki!

The purpose of these cards is to serve as a daily reminder of things we should be thankful for, and things we should work on.  This is the one deck I use almost every single day – I like to start off the day with a bit of inspiration, and I like to start my Reiki sessions by pulling a card from this deck and spending a moment or two meditating on it before I begin.

I have found that some people find the name of this deck misleading, and think they must  be involved with Reiki in order to use them, but that is absolutely not the case.  If you’re looking for a simple deck to use for daily affirmations, or whenever you need a little pick-me-up, then this is the deck you want.  There is absolutely nothing “negative” in this deck, and none of the messages will make you second guess yourself.
